Samuel G. White, a principal in the firm of Platt Byard Dovell White and a great grandson of Stanford White, a founding member of the legendary firm McKim, Mead & White, and Elizabeth White, formerly director of publications at Sotheby’s and associate publisher of Rizzoli, sold their residence for $8.35 million. The couple, who has authored books focusing on the architectural works of McKim, Mead & White, sold their Carnegie Hill townhouse to Nilden LLC. The 12-room, four family dwelling was marketed through Kerry Martin and Thomas Wexler.
